OUR STORY
Our story started before we met.
We were both studying at NYU, a year apart, moving through the same places without ever meeting each other.
I had seen Pia from time to time and always hoped that one day, somehow, we would meet. For a long time, we didn’t… until one night at a birthday party in New York. As I was leaving, I saw Pia walking in. It felt like a now-or-never moment, so I turned around, went back inside, and waited for the right chance. A few minutes later, a mutual friend introduced us.
I had a paper due that Monday, so my plan was to stay in that weekend. Going to the party was a last-minute decision, with the idea of stopping by briefly and leaving early. When I arrived, I saw some people heading out – Chris was one of them. You can imagine my confusion when, just moments later, I was being introduced to him. Hadn’t he just left?
And that was the beginning of a decade spent building a life together.
Our first date was at Sel Rrose, a cocktail bar on the corner of Bowery and Delancey in the Lower East Side - a neighborhood that would come to hold so much of our story. That night, something felt uniquely natural. We came from two different parts of the world, yet found ourselves drawn to the same things, sharing the same curiosities and outlook on life.
We spent the next six years in New York, building our careers, traveling, and creating our own routines: enjoying long walks with our dogs, Vincent and Charlie; trying new restaurants and coffee shops; taking workout classes after work - everyday rituals that became ours.
Even through the pandemic: two of us, two dogs, one apartment, living and working side by side in an unusually quiet New York. Through that, we knew we were in it for the long run.
London came next - a new adventure we chose together. There were many unknowns in starting fresh in a new city, but some things stayed the same: walking and discovering new places; going for brunch on the weekends; searching for the best coffee and matcha; taking reformer pilates classes – small, shared moments that made it home.
And then, came the Italian chapter: Milan - where we are shaping this next phase of our lives together, with Charlie and Vincent following along.
One decade together across cities, continents, and different versions of ourselves. The constant has always been all of you - the people who have been part of our journey along the way.

NUESTRA HISTORIA
Nuestra historia empezó antes de conocernos.
Los dos estudiábamos en NYU, con un año de diferencia; nos movíamos por los mismos lugares pero nunca habíamos tenido la oportunidad de conocernos.
De vez en cuando veía a Pia a lo lejos y siempre esperaba, de alguna forma, poder conocerla. Durante mucho tiempo no pasó… hasta una noche, en un cumpleaños en Nueva York. Cuando me estaba yendo, vi a Pia llegar. Se sintió como un momento de ahora o nunca, así que me di vuelta, volví a entrar y esperé la oportunidad justa. Unos minutos después, una amiga en común nos presentó.
Yo tenía que entregar un trabajo ese lunes, así que mi plan era quedarme en casa ese fin de semana. Ir a la fiesta fue una decisión de último momento, con la idea de pasar un rato e irme temprano. Cuando llegué, vi que algunas personas se estaban yendo de la fiesta - Chris era una de ellas. Se podrán imaginar mi confusión cuando, apenas unos momentos después, me lo estaban presentando. Él no se acababa de ir?
Y ese fue el inicio de una década construyendo una vida juntos.
Nuestra primera cita fue en Sel Rrose, un bar en la esquina de Bowery y Delancey, en el Lower East Side de Nueva York - un barrio que terminó siendo testigo de gran parte de nuestra historia. Esa noche, todo se sintió especialmente natural. Veníamos de dos partes muy diferentes del mundo, pero nos encontramos atraídos por las mismas cosas, compartiendo las mismas curiosidades y formas de ver la vida.
Pasamos los próximos seis años en Nueva York, construyendo nuestras carreras, viajando y creando nuestras propias rutinas: disfrutando de largas caminatas con nuestros perros, Vincent y Charlie; probando nuevos restaurantes y cafeterías; yendo a clases de entrenamiento después del trabajo - rituales cotidianos que se volvieron nuestros.
Incluso durante la pandemia: nosotros dos, dos perros, un departamento, viviendo y trabajando todo el día lado a lado en una Nueva York inusualmente vacia y silenciosa. Habiendo atravesado eso juntos, supimos que lo nuestro estaba hecho para durar.
Después vino Londres - una nueva aventura que elegimos juntos. Había muchas incógnitas al empezar de cero en una ciudad nueva, pero algunas cosas siguieron igual: salir a caminar y descubrir lugares; ir a brunch los fines de semana; buscar el mejor café y matcha; hacer clases de reformer pilates - pequeños momentos compartidos que lo convirtieron en hogar.
Y después llegó el capítulo italiano: Milán - donde estamos dándole forma a esta nueva etapa de nuestras vidas juntos, con Charlie y Vincent acompañándonos.
Una década juntos a través de ciudades, continentes y distintas versiones de nosotros mismos. La constante siempre fueron todos ustedes - las personas que formaron parte de nuestro camino a lo largo del tiempo.
No vemos la hora de festejar juntos.
